Slipstreaming Microsoft Office 2000 Premium (TTID #272)

Author: Josh   Views: 108,513 /  Created: May 29, 2003
*Note Office XP setup file is called setuppls.exe

You will need the following items:
1.) A copy of the original Office 2000 CD or ISO
2.) Administrator Update of SR-1a for Office 2000
   (Download ~52MB)
3.) Administrator Update of SP3 for Office 2000
   (Download ~59MB)

* To update to SP3, SR-1a is required to be updated first.

For an explanation of some common errors, see Article TTID#273.

1.) Create a folder called Office2000 on your hard drive. (A minimum of 800MB is required.)
2.) In this folder create three sub-folder called Admin, SR1a, and SP3.

The end result will look something like the following image.

For SP3 Disk1:
msiexec /a <Drive>:\Office2000\Admin\Data1.msi /p <Drive>:\Office2000\SP3\MAINSP3ff.msp SHORTFILENAMES=1

For SP3 Disk2:
msiexec /a <Drive>:\Office2000\Admin\Data2.msi /p <Drive>:\Office2000\SP3\SP3CD2ff.msp SHORTFILENAMES=1
