01.27.2015 - To be seen, but not understood.

View Replify related news. After the terrible events that happened in Paris earlier this month the UK’s Prime Minister, David Cameron said: In our country, do we want to allow a means of communication between people which we cannot read? This utterance was made with the intention of intercepting terrorist communications to prevent further attacks. While his intentions may be honourable, it is obvious the Prime Minister didn’t run this past anyone with an ounce of technical know-how before uttering it.

09.23.2014 - Don’t wait in-line

View Replify related news. A question we are often asked when a customer is about to trial Replify Accelerator is whether or not it will impact their network for non-Accelerator users. For most scenarios, the answer is a definitive "No, if anything, it may improve things." The reason we are asked this is because a number of WAN optimization products work "in-line".

09.04.2014 - It’s someone else’s problem

View Replify related news. Long before starting work in Replify, I had a job where I would provide assistance to customers who were deploying Enterprise software solutions. In general, this was an interesting job, however it could be infuriating whenever customers would raise issues that couldn't reliably be reproduced.

08.19.2014 - Abandoning protocol

View Replify related news. As we've mentioned in a few recent blog posts, the Replify office has a great city centre location close to shops, bars, restaurants etc. At lunchtimes I like to stretch my legs and go out to get some lunch to take back to the office. While there are lots of options available, I tend to keep going back to the same places again and again.

08.04.2014 - Mon cache bien cuit, s’il vous plaît.

View Replify related news. When it comes to eating out, I love to peruse a menu and see all the interesting options available that aren't seen very often in restaurants close to home. e.g. tartare, snails, marrowbone, offal etc. When eating away from home, I feel I've missed out on an opportunity if I don't try any of the local cuisine. This trip was no exception and a meal on our final evening starting with marrowbone followed by seared kidneys kept me happy.

07.16.2014 - Sometimes it is better to do nothing

View Replify related news. In Northern Ireland where Replify is based, we had "Orangefest" celebrations at the weekend. For those who don't know anything about Northern Ireland politics, let's just say Orangefest is a bit of a "marmite" celebration. Some people embrace it wholeheartedly while others just want it to go away.

07.07.2014 - A whole new world

View Replify related news. I've a group of friends who once or twice a year meet up and go wine tasting. At these events there are normally seven or eight wines available. The format usually involves the host telling us a little about each wine, we drink half a glass or so of it and then move onto the next one. They are usually good value, the theory being that after all that wine, they're more likely to be able to sell you a case to take home.
