Adjusting these values will determine if similar taskbar buttons are grouped together. You will need to log out for these settings to take effect.
This setting can also be changed by right clicking on the Start button, clicking Properties, clicking on Taskbar tab, and checking or unchecking Group similar taskbar buttons, and then clicking OK.
