This article shows you how to return the Recycle Bin back to normal after installing Norton AntiVirus 2003 Professional Edition with Windows 9x. View similar instructions for Windows 2000 and/or Windows XP.
1.) Right Click on Norton Protected Recycle Bin
2.) Left Click Properties
3.) Click on the Recycle Bin Tab.
4.) Select Standard Recycle Bin from Double-clicking item opens.
5.) Change the Title: to Recycle Bin.
6.) Remove the check form Show Norton Protection status under Appearance.
7.) Remove the check from Enable protection under Drive Settings
8.) Click the Remove Norton Protection... button.
9.) Check Also Empty Protected Files check box.
10.) Click the OK button.
11.) Click the OK button.
11.) Click the Yes button. *
*Note: This dialog box may not appear.
