So, you replaced your video card and now you're wondering what to do with the old one. Well if it is still in working order you could give it away. But what do you do with it if it is dead.
We recently ran into a similar scenario where our 3dfx Voodoo 3000 AGP card gave up the ghost.
We started out with one damaged video card.
Tools used in this part of the article included a pair of wire cutters and a multi-tool.
Using the pliers and screwdriver portions of the multi-tool, we removed the back plate.
Next we used the pliers portion of the multi-tool to removed the heatsink.
Using the blade from the multi-tool we severed the connectors of the memory and then pried them off.
We also removed all other components from the circuit board except for the GPU and rear connector.
The resulting card looks like this.
Now, you may wonder what we do with all of this.
If you trim and sand the larger chips and collect enough you can use them for poker chips.
