When searching in files or for files it will not find any files not registered. You can change this in your registry.

Registry Editor
Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ContentIndex\]
Value Name: FilterFilesWithUnknownExtensions
Data Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1 = Search all file types

WARNING: Use the information provided at your own risk. Always backup your system prior to modifying the registry. Serious problems may occur that require you to reinstall your operating system. We cannot guarantee that problems resulting from modifications to the registry can be solved.
