When trying to install Need for Speed Carbon Demo You recieve the following message:
Installation cannot continue because this game requires DirectX 0 or higher to be installed on your system.
You can download the latest version of DirectX here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx
Solution:
1. Run the Downloaded Installation Progran. (example: )
2. Select a Destination folder (example: C:\nfsc)
3. Click the Install button.
4. When you are prompted to close all running programs. Click the Cancel button.
5. Browse to the Destination folder (example: C:\nfsc)
6. Right-Click on AutoRun.exe.
7. Click on the Properties menu item.
8. Click the Compatibility tab.
9. Check the Run this program in compatibility mode for check box.
10. Select Windows 2000 from the drop down box.
11. Click the OK button.
12. Double click AutoRun.exe.
13. Continue to install.
