AKVIS Coloriage adds color to black and white photos with the same ease with which a child paints images in a coloring book ("coloriage" means a coloring book in French). The colorizing technique is easy: you take the Pencil tool, select a color and draw a rough outline within the area to be colorized; the program recognizes the borders of the area and paints in the new color keeping the tone transitions. No layers manipulation, no manual painting! The list of the tool's uses is practically endless. Home users can apply it to colorize old B&W photos from the family archives, for example, to make a present to the grandma by adding color to her early days' photos. Professional designers can use AKVIS Coloriage to try different color schemes for interior and exterior design, as the program allows changing the color of objects with a mouse click. Anime and manga enthusiasts can apply the program to add color to hand sketch drawings and comics. The software does not only colorize B&W photos, the available Keep-Color tool makes it possible to replace colors only in defined areas of the picture. Thus, you can recolor clothes on your color photo or change the color of the hair, eyes, etc on a portrait. Selective desaturation and selective colorization of a color photo is made easy.

AKVIS Sketch 1.1 is a plugin for conversion of photos into pencil sketches and watercolor drawings. Photo-to-sketch conversion can be a lot of fun and open for you new ways of creativity. If you have always been wondering how to draw or paint, now you can embody your ideas with AKVIS Sketch. You can make any photo look like B&W or color drawing, imitate the technique of graphite or color pencil, charcoal or watercolor painting. Surprise your friends and relatives by presenting them their pencil portraits. Make a watercolor drawing out of a photo from your last nature shooting to decorate your room. Convert your own photo into a color sketch to print on a T-shirt. Home users will be delighted by the neat result of the photo-to-sketch conversion. Now you do not need to handle a pencil to feel like an artist. All you need to create your original work of art is good taste and AKVIS Sketch. The program can be helpful to designers who need to quickly bring images to one style for a web-site or an advertisement booklet. In contrast to the similar standard filters (like the built-in filters in Photoshop or PSP) that offer an approximate sketch, AKVIS Sketch provides a convincing result that comes very close to hand-drawn works of a human artist. Getting a similar result with the standard tools would require expertise in image editing and extensive manipulation with layers, masks, brushes and applying filters. AKVIS Sketch has a simple interface with a few sliders. At first you can process the image with the default settings and then touch up the photo adding color, or trying different techniques - from pencil to charcoal or watercolor. You can make the hatching denser or finer and change the pitch angle of strokes. For a free trial, AKVIS offers 10 days of fully functional use. AKVIS Sketch plugin is compatible with Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements, Corel Painter, Corel Photo-Paint and other image editors.

AKVIS LLC announces the release of AKVIS Stamp V.3.0 for Mac and Win, a healing/cloning plug-in that does miracles. New to version 3.0: Undo feature, Macintosh support. AKVIS Stamp is more than a cloning tool. Conceived as a healing tool for removing unwanted elements in digital photos, it does it work brilliantly. It automatically adjusts “patches” to the color range, texture and brightness of the target background. With a simple user interface and minimal steps to follow, AKVIS Stamp is a versatile healing tool for removal of wrinkles, scars, scratches and pores from digital portraits, and it performs seamless cloning in photos without the tedium of hand-blending. New to the version is the long-awaited Undo feature. Earlier it was possible to cancel only the last action, now it's a full-functional command that allows you to undo and re-do as many steps in a row as you want. A creative mind can do miracles with the plug-in, as the software is able to clone objects and adjust them to the new background in such a way, that they get an artistic effect. The unique Edit Mode of the plug-in helps to clone large fragments. Users of the newer releases of Adobe Photoshop (starting with v.7) have a similar tool - Healing Brush - at their disposal, but the unique Edit Mode of AKVIS Stamp makes this plug-in yet more handy and powerful. It gives more flexibility with the large fragments cloning. When cloning fragments it will not fuse the cloned area with the background until the Edit Mode is deactivated, allowing multiple revisions such as changing the size of the stamp, indicating another source for cloning, making clones out of different parts of the image.

AKVIS Chameleon is an efficient tool for automatic adjustment of inserted objects to the target image color range and smoothing of the object's border.
The tool is very easy to handle as it does not require precise selection of objects. You copy an object, insert it into another picture, press the button and the object adjusts to the new background as chameleons do - adapting to the new color range and blending with the environment.
