06.20.2012 - Erlang may yer lum reek

View Replify related news. Several years ago we made the choice to implement the core of our technology using a relatively new programming language called Erlang. 06.10.2012 - The Dehydrated Enterprise

View Replify related news. My brain is trained to spot the word "de-duplication" in an email, brochure or web page, the same way some kids can find Wally in a crowd in 5 seconds flat. About half the time though, my initial interest is wasted because it turns out to be a reference to storage de-duplication.

06.06.2012 - Historic Moment

View Replify related news. We've been very excited over the last few days as a glorious event drew near. The Olympic Torch passed our office and a flotilla of a thousand ships filled the Thames. A kindly old woman in a hat waved at a lot of people (in HD) and Paul McCartney croaked horribly like one of the frogs from his frog chorus.

03.01.2012 - Syncstor Update

View Replify related news. It's a while since I've talked about Replify's Syncstor product - the client software that allows Outlook to connect directly with repositories such as SharePoint to provide instant on and off-line access to content. I thought I should remedy that, and the best way to do it was to ask Alan McMillen, our Director of Syncstor, to talk about the latest release.

11.07.2011 - Gartner’s key IT trends for 2012

View Replify related news. Gartner have identified their key IT trends for 2012. Nothing terribly surprising: cloud, virtualization, big data, social networks and energy costs are all in there. Interestingly though, in-line de-duplication gets a mention as part of the big data story, and I wouldn't have foreseen a key element of WAN optimization finding its way into the list.
