When you save a shortcut to a particular Web site on your desktop, and then you click a link on that Web site, you are unexpectedly logged off the Web site and connected to a logon Web page. This issue occurs when you use the desktop shortcut to open the Web site in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1. This problem occurs because the session cookie is not sent to the hyperlinked Web page from the original Web site that you accessed through the desktop shortcut.
