01.22.2003 - Microsoft Windows XP Home/Professional/64 Bit Edition Patch: USB Devices May Not Work After You Unplug a Downstream USB Hub from the Host Controller

View Microsoft-WindowsXP related news. If you unplug all your Universal Serial Bus (USB) devices from the host controller, the host controller may not respond when you plug these devices in again. Additionally, after you remove all these devices, your computer may stop responding (hang) during the shutdown process. This problem is more likely to occur if several USB hubs are cascaded and USB devices are connected to the cascaded hubs.
