03.77.2003 - New Chipset.drv for Maxtor PowerMax Program

Are you having problems with PowerMax detecting your IDE hard drive on mainboards with newer chipsets? After a brief conversation with Maxtor Technical Support, we were sent a replacement chipset.drv file. This file fixed hard drive detection on our Intel 845 chipset mainboards. We will be doing test on the NFORCE2 chipset later tonight. 1.) Download the latest diagnostic software from Maxtor. 2.) Create the PowerMax diskette. 3.) Download the replacement chipset.drv file. 4.) Overwrite the chipset.drv file with the newer version. Update: Maxtor will be releasing PowerMax 4.0, soon.
