12.358.2008 - Moblin Enabling Center in Taiwan Open for Business

The Moblin Enabling Center (MEC) in Taipei opened its doors after a joint announcement from Intel, the Institute for Information Industry and the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The MEC will provide the Moblin technologies and services to assist Taiwan in speeding up the development of a comprehensive Moblin industry ecosystem and developing the island into a global hub of mobile computing. Moblin, an open source project, is an optimized Linux software stack and application framework that enables rich Internet experiences on Intel® Atom™-based mobile devices.
