The module is a highly integrated WiMAX + Wi-Fi mini card module designed to be embedded into notebooks and potentially other mobile or CE devices, and is the industry's first integrated Wi-Fi/WiMAX module with advanced multiple input/multiple output (MIMO) antenna technology. What does this mean? Future Intel-based laptop users would be able to access both Wi-Fi and WiMAX wireless networks easily and quickly. The Intel Wi-Fi/WiMAX Link 5350 is expected to be available in certain notebook PCs sold in the U.S. at the end of this year.
